Cataract Gorge
Cataract Gorge is a park a short walk from the centre of Launceston, Tasmania, Australia. Set in 500 hectares of bushland, its rapids, cliffs, trees and wildlife are all worth seeing.
Longford
Longford was intended to be a major district centre in Tasmania, Australia, but time has passed it by. Built on a very shady past, the town made a determined effort to gain respectability but with the advent of cars, it was bypassed to leave many of the original buildings for us to enjoy.
Richmond
Richmond was the first major farming settlement in colonial Tasmania. Bypassed by the Sorell Causeway, Richmond retains many links with its wealthy (and not very respectable) past, along with the arched sandstone convict-built bridge that still carries main road traffic.
